Can I safely add a README to the "Advanced Config" git repository?

I’ve got a copy of our Advanced Config repository on a separate Git server (for code review/change management purposes), and I’d like to add a README.md file so developers viewing the repository there understand that changes need to be pushed back to Section.IO.

If I add a file called README.md or similar to the root directory of the repository, will that cause any problems for Section.IO’s systems?

Hey Edward,

Simply adding a markdown file to the root directory your repository will not create any issues, so long as you do not modify or delete any required configuration files.
