Our New Relic Monitoring for site www.example.com reports a constant error
Message https://www.example.com (SSL Error, Host www.example.com not found in certificate
This is a known issue with New Relic ping monitor as it doesn’t use SNI for SSL negotiation. SNI is a common part of the internet and allow multiple SSL certificates to be served from a single IP address.
New Relic has said that they are not going to fix it as they are pushing their Synthetic product which does use SNI functionality. See here: https://discuss.newrelic.com/t/feature-idea-availability-pinger-support-for-sni/16504
Would recommend using New Relic Synthetic monitor instead.
